SUMMARY:KFGC Action Pistol Practice 8-17-26 Clone
DESCRIPTION:KFGC Action Pistol Practice is an opportunity for shooters to practice their shooting skills\, test new equipment\, and have a good time. It is an excellent opportunity for shooters new to action shooting to give it a try before entering a match. This event intends to provide practice time for experienced competitive shooters by providing a variety of drills that build skills and speed. It also offers first-time competitors a stress-free\, friendly environment where they can learn about competitive shooting through practical application. New shooters will be “coached\,” by more experienced competition shooters.\nCompetitors must bring safety eyewear\, hearing protection\, a suitable firearm\, a sturdy belt\, a belt-mounted holster they feel comfortable drawing from\, enough magazines to carry 30 rounds\, and 100 rounds of ammunition. It's recommended that competitors bring magazine pouches but you're also welcome to put spare magazines in your pockets if you don't have magazine pouches. All Competitors are expected to demonstrate safe weapons handling at all times. Competitor check-in will begin at 4:30 pm at KFGC pit 4. A safety briefing will be at 4:50 pm and shooting starts at 5:00 pm.\nAll firearms shall be unloaded and cased upon entering KFGC. Once inside pit 4\, check in with Nola or Rich\, and if you are new to the practice\, the Range Officers will walk you through the process of gearing up with your firearm. This event will be a "COLD RANGE". Do NOT gear up in any location other than on the range under the supervision of the staff.

SUMMARY:Heartland NRL22 Monthly August 16th
DESCRIPTION:Precision rifle shooting and the .22 long rifle cartridge aren’t found in the same sentence very often\, but that is the core philosophy of the NRL22 format. By stretching the capabilities of the world’s most popular and cheapest rifle calibers\, the goal is to create a challenging yet welcoming target shooting environment for a diverse range of shooters; young and old\, rich and poor\, novices and veterans.\nThe organization behind the NRL22 competition is a 501c3 non-profit division of the National Rifle League. With an annual membership fee of only $60/Adults and $25/Youth\, the NRL22 format is an accessible and budget-minded target shooting platform.\nTo provide fair competitive opportunities for as many people as possible\, NRL22 is organized into six shooter classes:\n1.	Base class is reserved for shooters with a rifle and scope totaling less than $1650 MSRP.\n2.	Open class has no rifle restrictions other than rifles must be chambered in 22lr or are air rifles.\n3.	Young Guns is for children ages 8-16 and compete in either base\, open\, or air rifle classes.\n4.	Ladies class is for female shooters and competes in either base\, open\, or air rifle classes.\n5.	Air rifle class is exclusively for air rifles and competes alongside 22lr rifles during matches.\n6.	Old Gun / Adaptive class is for any shooter over age 60 or any shooter with special needs.\nZero range will open at 1230pm before the match start. Please arrive accordingly to ensure everyone gets the opportunity to check zero.\nFollowing the match we will have a fun head2head side event. Please bring a case of the soda of your choice if you would like to participate. (cheapest is best as we will be shooting them not drinking them)

DESCRIPTION:Intro to USPSA this month will be a 4 Classifier stage match. \n$30 with a $5 discount for verified PRGC members.\nAppendix Carry is ONLY authorized for C Classification or above.\nThe Practical Division is always happy to have new shooters at our USPSA matches but it is important that you be familiar with the rules and procedures before you shoot your first match.\nWe will cover specific rules and answer questions at the new shooter’s briefing before the match but the following general rules will keep you in compliance when you first arrive:\nA. Bring your unloaded gun to the match in a case or bag.\nB. Handle your gun only at one of these two approved times:\n1.	When in the marked safety areas. These areas are where you transfer the gun from your bag or case to your holster at the start of the match\, and where you return it to your bag or case when you are finished with the match.\n2.	When explicitly authorized by the RO when it is your turn to shoot a stage. You are allowed to handle your gun beginning with the “Make Ready “ command and ending with the “Range Is Clear” command.\nC. Do not bring ammunition into the safety areas.\nD. Guns are to be unloaded with no magazines in them at all times except for when you are the shooter and have been given the “Make Ready “ command. After the “Range Is Clear” command you are again subject to the unloaded gun requirement.
