Click here. \nFormerly CHL\, this course includes your classroom time covering the current Texas State and Federal laws that surround your ability to carry a handgun\, as well as the required shooting proficiency test. The shooting qualification requires that you must be able to load\, unload\, and fire the handgun proficiently. \nTHIS IS NOT A FIREARMS TRAINING CLASS AND WILL NOT TEACH YOU HOW TO SHOOT. If you are new to firearms\, we strongly encourage you to take a Private LTC Prep Lesson prior to taking the class. \nNote: Texas rule banning persons under 21 from obtaining a License to Carry was declared unconstitutional. Persons 18-20 years old can now receive their LTC. Please note\, Defender CANNOT rent handguns OR sell ammunition to anyone under 21.
