Unpaid competitors will be removed after 24 hours and the next competitor from the waitlist will be approved.***\nThe intent of this event is to provide first time competitors with a stress free\, friendly environment. Where they can learn about competitive shooting through practical application. Shooters will be “coached\,” by the competition staff on rules\, walk throughs and general stage execution.\nCompetitors must bring a suitable firearm\, belt mounted holster they feel comfortable drawing from\, enough magazines to carry 30 rounds\, and 100 rounds of ammunition. It's recommended that competitors bring magazine pouches but you're also welcome to put spare magazines in your pockets if you don't have magazine pouches. No pocket\, ankle\, or small of the back\, fanny pack\, or off-body holsters. IF you registered for the new competitor 2-gun match\, please also bring a serviceable semi-automatic rifle with a minimum of two magazines. Please ensure said rifle is brought into the facility in a case or bag and remains in the bag until we enter the range. Chamber flags are encouraged but not required.\nAll Competitors are expected to demonstrate safe weapons handling at all time. To include drawing from the holster\, safely loading/ unloading firearms\, shooting while moving etc. Failure to do so will result in removal from the match at the discretion of the staff.\nCompetitor check in will begin at 5:30pm at the SEC range counter\, safety brief location will be announced there and will start at 6:00pm.\nAll competitors and visitors entering the SEC ranges must complete an electronic waiver annually. Waivers can be completed at the SEC range desk.\nAll firearms shall be unloaded and cased upon entering the facility. Once checked-in and inside the shooting bays\, the Range Officers will walk you through the process of gearing up with your firearm. This event will be a "COLD RANGE". Do NOT gear up in any location other than on the range under the supervision of the competition staff.\n***All competitors 18 years of age or under must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Bring 100 and expect to have some left over.  9mm and 45acp will be available for purchase at the range.\nWe will have 4 stages on 2 bays. Check-in will close at 6:15 promptly. DESCRIPTION:Tickets go on sale at 8AM for Alpha Members (with preregistration code "alpha") and 8PM for general public on the Sunday before a match. Registration ends at 2PM the day before the match or when capacity is reached. If match is full you can sign up for our waitlist and you'll be contacted if someone requests a cancellation.\nOur usual indoor matches feature four to six stages\, usually including one classifier. Once in a while we will shoot an all-steel versus match or another "carnival format"/"theme" match. We start building the stages at 6:00PM (7AM for Saturday matches)\, then shoot until about 10:00PM (11AM for Saturday matches)\, followed by about 30 minute tear-down and cleanup.\nWe require all Illinois competitors to show a FOID. Additionally\, we require competitors be classifed USPSA members in good standing. If you have yet to classify in a division and have not shot with us before\, approval from the match director (uspsamiss@gmail.com) will be required prior to registration.\nNo walk-ins will be accepted!
