Three families that will never be the same. Three detachments grieving the loss of a co-worker and friend. SUMMARY:Turtle Creek Close Combat Match
DESCRIPTION:This will be a 10 Stage\, Tier 2 match featuring all divisions except PCC. Our primary emphasis with this match is close combat shooting with all targets 10 yards or less and 16 rounds max per string of fire. Although the match is open to all divisions except PCC\, our primary emphasis is BUG. For this reason\, we are offering BUG Optic as a Specialty Division(SPD). BUG -O shooters will compete under Carry Optic rules except for the gun test box size.  BUG-O shooters will use the standard BUG box size with an optic cut.  Sign up using your current BUG classification.   Bug-O will use the CO Power Factor of 125.  There will be no chrono for this match.  BUG Optic loading will be 10+1.  At the Match we will recognize BUG Optic as a Specialty Division and award trophies within this SPD.   IDPA does not currently recognize BUG-O as a division\, after the Match all BUG Optic shooters will have their SPD changed to CO for submission to IDPA for points credit. Staff will shoot on Saturday and competitors will shoot on Sunday. 4 Squads of 10 in the morning and 4 squads of 10 in the afternoon. Awards will be after the afternoon squads finish. DESCRIPTION:The Eastern Iowa Law Enforcement Practical Shooting Group September hit factor match is scheduled for Tuesday\, September 22\, 2026 at the West Liberty Gun Club. We will also have limited room for competitors to shoot in the afternoon on Monday\, September\, 21. Registration is limited to current and former law enforcement officers only. This includes reserve officers\, corrections officers\, etc. Agency name must be entered at registration for verification only and will not be publicly visible.\nWe will shoot four or five stages with a total round count of 100-120.  One stage will be a current USPSA classifier.  This is not a USPSA sanctioned match so the classifier will not count for classification.\nDivisions: Open\, Limited\, Production\, Carry Optics\, Limited Optics following USPSA division guidelines. If you are uncertain or undecided\, please select "Unknown" and we will help you at check in.\nRequired Equipment: Pistol\, at least three magazines\, holster\, at least one magazine pouch\, eye and ear protection. You do not need to bring your duty gun/gear (although you certainly may) and you do not need a special "competition" gun or gear.\nThere are squads set for 1130\, 1330\, and 1530 hours on 9/21 to attempt to accommodate varying schedules. If you cannot arrive exactly at those times\, we will work with you to get you through the stages. Show up when you can.  Groups are welcome to register and squad together. Expect about two hours of shooting unless you make special arrangements to run through the stages solo. We will have limited capacity for competitors to shoot in the afternoon on Monday\, September 21 with an expected start time around 1300.\nThere is no experience necessary and no fee for this match. DESCRIPTION:KFGC Action Pistol Practice is an opportunity for shooters to practice their shooting skills\, test new equipment\, and have a good time. It is an excellent opportunity for shooters new to action shooting to give it a try before entering a match. This event intends to provide practice time for experienced competitive shooters by providing a variety of drills that build skills and speed. It also offers first-time competitors a stress-free\, friendly environment where they can learn about competitive shooting through practical application. New shooters will be “coached\,” by more experienced competition shooters.\nCompetitors must bring safety eyewear\, hearing protection\, a suitable firearm\, a sturdy belt\, a belt-mounted holster they feel comfortable drawing from\, enough magazines to carry 30 rounds\, and 150 rounds of ammunition. It's recommended that competitors bring magazine pouches but you're also welcome to put spare magazines in your pockets if you don't have magazine pouches. All Competitors are expected to demonstrate safe weapons handling at all times. Competitor check-in will begin at 4:30 pm at KFGC pit 4. A safety briefing will be at 4:50 pm and shooting starts at 5:00 pm. No walk-ons allowed.\nAll firearms shall be unloaded and cased upon entering KFGC. Once inside Pit 4\, check in with Nola or Rich\, and if you are new to the practice\, the Range Officers will walk you through the process of gearing up with your firearm. This event will be a "COLD RANGE". Do NOT gear up in any location other than on the range under the supervision of the staff.

DESCRIPTION:Sharpshooters Indoor Range IDPA Match (Cold Range\, please make sure all firearms are empty before arriving in the store).\nOur matches are held twice a month\, (2nd and 4th Mondays). It usually consists of 3 stages depending on crowd size. Check-in is 5:30-6:15. Shooters meeting at 6:15\, Bullets downrange by 6:30 or after the match brief.\nCost: $15.75\nPCCs will be allowed this match but must have a chamber flag and be in a case.\nSign up on Practiscore.com by searching for "Sharpshooters" for the latest match opening. There will be 2 squads to sign up on\, but you may be moved to balance them out before the match starts.\nAs a new shooter\, you don't have to be an IDPA member to shoot a match\, but after 3 matches\, you will need to join IDPA to continue to participate. This match is especially good for permanently disabled persons\, as it is on a smooth-level concrete floor\, and other accommodations are made for you.
