DESCRIPTION:Tuesday Night Steel is held every Tuesday of each month.\nStages: 4\nPrice: $20 for Rio members; $25 for non-members\nPayment: All payments must be completed on Practiscore as part of the registration process. Once you register and pay\, you'll be able to squad. Please make sure you select the correct payment option (Member\, Junior). We will NOT be doing refunds for shooters who select the wrong amount. Slots are non-transferrable.\nSquad Times:\nSquads 17-20: 11-1245pm\nSquads 1-4: 1-245pm\nSquads 5-8: 3-445pm\nSquads 9-12: 5-645pm\nSquads 13-16: 7-845pm\nSquad Size: 10-12 shooters/squad\nSafety Class: If you already hold a current classification (other than Novice or Unclassified) via USPSA\, IPSC\, IDPA\, or ICORE\, you are NOT required to take our PSSC (Practical Shooting Starter Course). All other shooters that are interested in shooting Tuesday Night Steel or any other Practical Pistol events at Rio Salado\, you must attend one of the PSSC classes. Please make sure you read the requirements and additional information regarding the safety course at https://www.rsscaz.com/divisions/practical-pistol/pssc\nWe follow USPSA rules for all safety\, range commands\, divisions\, and categories. If you are new to shooting\, please familiarize yourself with these rules prior to shooting with us.\nWAITLIST: If you are approved off of the waitlist\, you will have 1 hour to pay your match fee before being withdrawn from the match and your slot is given to the next shooter on the list.\nMatch Credits will only be given to those shooters who withdraw on Practiscore by Monday at 6pm prior to the match. If you don't show and don't withdraw by 6pm on Monday\, you will NOT be given a match credit. There are NO refunds. If you have a match credit\, you'll have 6 months to use it before it is forfeited.\n***NOTE***If you register and then later initiate a credit card dispute before speaking to the match/division director\, you will not be allowed to preregister for our matches going forward.

Head Coach: Coach Sammy craig@coachsammy.ca \nThe Moving Targets + Technique Course is a coached course where you will receive hands on training to learn and increase your skills and knowledge of shooting moving targets in a non stress training enviroment where you have a chance to learn outside of a match. The training will be held at 400 yards and will include learning the techniques of shooting moving targets for top scores.\nIf you are shooting ORA Precision Rifle or Service Rifle matches\, or any competition where moving targets are used (such as PRS)\, this training will increase your ability and confidence\, and It will also give you a lot of shooting time not under the pressure of a match scenario.\nLearn how to calculate your hold depending on target speed and distance\, where to hold and how to judge holds for different wind directions\, and best PoA. Learn the different strategies to shoot the moving targets and develop pre-shot routines to avoid a miss. You will be shooting slow with single indicated hits to start\, and work up to match speeds. A full day of coached training will give you experience to shoot moving targets\, and the knowledge to calculate the distance and speed of targets. We will also cover how to use AB Quantum or a Kestrel to know your PoA and target speed of Moving Targets.\nWhat you Need to attend:\n1. Your Experience:\n- Have shot your rifle\, scope\, ammo combination numerous times\, have tested ammo to choose the best for your rifle\, and you must have your scope zeroed and centered\, and be able to 5 shot shoot groups of 1 MOA or less at 100 yards.\n- Know your scope\, rifle specs\, and how it all works.\n2. ORA Membership + Waiver\nIf you are NOT an ORA 2026 Member\, you must register as a Guest\,\nand you must sign the Guest & Handload Ammo Waiver. For Service Rifle scope is your choice\, but a FFP w/ a Christmas tree Reticle would work well.\n- Rifle Magazine: box type 10 or 12  round removable mags\n- 80+ rounds of factory match ammo or safe Hand-Load ammo minimum.\n- a Bi-Pod approx. 10" height\, plus extensions with Cant Control.\n- a Shooting Bag (used under Buttstock) preferably an Armageddon  Schmedium w/ heavy sand\, or crushed glass fill.\n- a Scope Level - either mechanical of electronic that attaches to Scope or Picatinny rail\, and shows you when rifle is level\n- Tools - All tools to adjust and slip your scope turrets\, scope mount\, buttstock\, and rifle\n- Shooting mat\n- Electronic Ears w/ Spare batteries. MANDATORY.\n  You must be able to hear Range Commands.\n- Eye Protection MANDATORY.\n- Sun Hat MANDATORY.\n- Sunscreen MANDATORY.\n- Water Minimum 4L\, preferably w/ Electrolytes.\n- Snacks & lunch. There is nothing is available on site\, and no time to leave the range.\n- Appropriate clothing for the weather. We shoot rain or extreme heat.\n  DO NOT WEAR BLACK CLOTHING. Wear light coloured and loose fitting clothing.\n- Work Gloves for Targets\n- Pens & Paper (Or device) for Notes\n- Allergic to anything? If so\, it’s mandatory to bring an EpiPen\, Antihistamines\,\n  Benadryl etc. There will not be any on site as we cannot administer medication.\nCost and Course Details:\n- Course Cost is $200 (If a not an ORA Member + $45 ORA Guest fee)\n- Read/watch course material sent to you in advance by email\n- 1 day shooting at CFB Borden\nCourse Schedule:\n- Meet at 7.50am at gate to Mons Range (Do not be late)\, check in with Staff at gate\, and receive further instructions.\nHead Rifle Coach: Craig Samuel (aka Coach Sammy) is a:\n- Coaching Association of Canada (CAC) - Registered Coach with the Professional Coaching Program\n- Shooting Federation of Canada (SFC) – Shooting Instructor in ISSF (Olympic) shooting\, Certified in Pistol\, Rifle and Shotgun\n- Coach Sammy competes in long range rifle\, pistol and 3 gun matches of various disciplines and likes to shoot high scores.  Precision and accuracy make Coach Sammy smile.\n- SAFETY BRIEFING:  For safety reasons If you are not present for the start of the Safety Briefing you will not be allowed to shoot.\n- READ THIS PLEASE: If you are not certain you will attend this Course DO NOT REGISTER.\n- REFUNDS:  Refunds are available up until 30 days before the course\, less an Admin fee of $25. Under no circumstances can any payments be transferred to a future event or used by someone else.\n- DO NOT SPEED ON BASE. This is a training Base\, and MPs will ticket and possibly escort you off the Base. Follow Speed limit signs.\n50 km/h through centre of CFB Borden\, 60 Km/h on Range Road\, 15 Km/h on any range access road. Pass Marching Troops at a max of 15 km/h and less to be respectful.\n- MATCH CANCELLATION BY MILITARY:\nIf the event is cancelled by the Military because they need the Range\, then a full refund will be issued\, if an alternate date does not suit you. This is not common and usually done well in advance due to CAF Range requirements.\n- Because we shoot on a Military Range\, Range Control can shut us down for a high Fire Index\, Lightning or Storm Warning etc. This is out of our control\, and there is no refund in that scenario. I have seen it happen only once in the last 10 years\, but it’s part of shooting on a Military Range\, and must be stated.
