DESCRIPTION:BRRC is happy to announce the July 2026 Precision Rifle Match.\nOur Precision Rifle matches will consist 6-7 stages with targets up to 1016 yards. The round count will be around 75. Stages will simulate field conditions and appropriate for all skill levels.\nEquipment:  Rifle equipped with an optic that will allow you to locate and engage targets\, and other shooting gear you like to use. Rangefinders\, spotting scopes\, binoculars\, shooting rests are all acceptable.\nAmmunition limitation:  30 caliber maximum.  Maximum muzzle velocity of 3500 FPS. No steel core ammunition will be allowed.\nFees have now changed to $30 for Club Members and $40.00 for non-members. As always the match is free to active duty military.\nSafety Notes: All rifles must have a safety/chamber flag installed and magazines removed when not on the line.

It is for new or partly experienced shooters\, shooters without fundamentals and rifle set up\, or shooters that need to remove bad habits to progress. A large percentage of the work a Long Range Shooter does is at 100 yards\, such as zero\, scope ladder tests\, scope box tests\, ammo development etc. This is done at 100 yards because you want to remove all the variables. Fundamentals are what all skills and experience are built on top of and learning them will give you a solid foundation for Parts 2 & 3 of this course to shoot out to 1000 yards.\nCovered are set up of your rifle\, ammo\, scope\, trigger\, bipod\, rear bag\, recoil management\, sight picture\, safety\, and fundamentals are taught on this course. The aim will be to train shooters to be able to consistently shoot 5 round groups of 1 MOA or less\, which is a general requirement of long range matches.\nWhat this course is:\n- Learn rifle marksmanship principles and long range shooting fundamentals\, set up of your rifle\, and fitment of your rifle to become a safe and accurate shooter. Learn to shoot zeroed and centred groups every time based on the capability of your equipment\, ammo\, and ability. If you learn to shoot a small centered repeatable group at 100 yards\, you can hit at 1000 yards\, once you learn elevation\, wind and secondary effects. This is applicable to competition and hunting.\nWhat this course is not:\n- It is not a “Intro to shooting” type course.\nIt is specifically for Long Range Rifle fundamentals as a platform to build further skills and experience on top of\, to progress to the next level.\nWhat you will learn at the Course:\n- Shoot up to 100 rounds & learn to shoot small groups that are centred\, and how to quickly set up your scope and slip turrets to enact a zero.\n- Learn how to set up your rifle for best fit and results\, and about ammo choices that make you consistent\, and what equipment will give you more consistency.\n- Learn Long Range Fundamentals and apply them to your shooting.\nWhat you Need to attend:\n1. Your Experience:\n- You should have shot your rifle\, scope\, ammo combination numerous times and have tested ammo to choose the best one for your rifle\, and you must have your scope zeroed and centered too 5 shot shoot groups.\n- Know your scope\, rifle specs\, and how it all works.\n- Know how to slip your turrets on your scope\, and have the tools needed to do that.\n- For safety reasons if your Rifle or Scope is non-functional on the course\, you will be pulled from the course.\n2. If you have a Caldwell or some Amazon special filled with beans etc.\, you will only reduce your ability to shoot accurate groups.\n- Scope Level - either mechanical of electronic that attaches to Scope or Picatinny rail\, and shows you when rifle is level\n- Tools - All tools to adjust and slip your scope turrets\, scope mount\, buttstock\, and rifle\n- Shooting mat\n- Electronic Ears w/ Spare batteries. MANDATORY. You must be able to hear\n  Range Commands. For safety reasons anyone not hearing or understanding\n  range commands will be pulled from the event.\n- Eye Protection MANDATORY.\n- Sun Hat MANDATORY.\n- Sunscreen MANDATORY.\n- Water Minimum 5L\, preferably w/ Electrolytes. MANDATORY.\n  You will be required to  show your water. For Health and Safety reasons if you\n  have signs of Heat Related Illness you will be pulled from the Course.\n-Snacks & lunch. There is nothing is available on site\, and no time to leave the range.\n- Appropriate clothing for the weather. We shoot rain or extreme heat. DO NOT WEAR BLACK CLOTHING. Wear light coloured and loose fitting clothing.\n- You may bring a Pop Up Tent to shelter under.\n- Work Gloves for Targets\n- Pens & Paper (Or device) for Notes\n- Allergic to anything?
