SUMMARY:RRPC Reactive Steel - July 2026
DESCRIPTION:This is our monthly steel match at RRPC\, open to the general public.\nThe match fee is $10\, payable in cash or check (made out to "Cash") on the day of the match.  Exact change is greatly appreciated.  Match staff shoots for free.\nThe match comprises three stages and features approximately 90 reactive steel targets.\nThe match is held on the lower ranges.  Shooters check in at the Pistol Range Firing Line starting at 9:00 AM.  Shooters briefing is at 9:30 AM\, and shooting starts immediately after the briefing ends.\nEar and eye protection is mandatory for all\, including spectators.\nThis match is run as a Cold Range\, meaning no one has a loaded gun until they are at a shooting position and commanded to load by their safety officer.\nIDPA/USPSA safety rules and commands govern this match.\nCompetition divisions for this event are:\nCFPI - Center-Fire Pistols with iron(open) sights\nCFPO - Center-Fire Pistols with optics\nPCC - Center-Fire Pistol Caliber Carbines or braced pistols\nAmmo must be common pistol cartridges\, no magnums please. No steel core ammo allowed.  Bring plenty of ammo!\nScoring is elapsed time plus 5 seconds for any target not knocked over or down.  Lowest score wins.\nNormal starting position is with a holstered pistol or PCC at the low ready\, with all safeties engaged.  Pistol shooters without a holster or uncomfortable drawing from a holster may start from the low ready position but receive a 3 second penalty.\nPistol shooters without holsters and PCC shooters must keep their firearms cased until it is their turn to shoot.

Registration opens on Feb 23rd\, 2026 at 6pm.\nWe will have all 8 SCSA stages.\nCompetitors may choose from available slots on either Friday\, Saturday or Sunday.  Wednesday and Thursday slots are for staff & sponsor shooters only.\nMatch Fee:\nAdult: $90 for First Gun\, $60 for each gun after the first\, up to as many as you can shoot.\nJunior: $60 for the First Gun\, $40 for each gun after the first\, up to as many as you can shoot.\nPlease be sure to select "Junior" in the category listing\, otherwise you will be charged the full fee.  If you select junior shooter\, but receive a full price invoice\, please email before paying so we can correct the issue.\nYou may register as many guns as you can shoot. The method this year has been refined to help “spread the wealth” and offer more random payments Here are the highlights:\nDivisions of 1-4 competitors do not qualify for a payout.\nDivision of 5-9 competitors qualify for a first place payout of $40.00 only.\nDivisions of 10-15 competitors qualify for first\, second\, and third place payouts.\nDivisions of 16+ competitors qualify for first\, second\, third\, and two modified Lewis system payouts.\nAll first place minimums are $40.00.\nAll second place minimums are $35.00.\nAll third place minimums are $25.00.\nModified Lewis system pays-out are fixed at $20 at the top of the middle third of competitors and the top of the lower third of competitors.\nPrize money as a pool of each division is relative in size to the division size for first\, second\, and third place payouts.\nRounding factors apply up or down based on the nearest ten except where minimums have been specified.\nPerformance awards will be given based on placement.\nPioneer Sportsmen has a policy that shooters on their bays must keep their muzzles below the berms at all times while shooting including when reloading (revolvers excluded when reloading). This applies to all shooting on the range including during sanctioned matches. Members\, including those who are match officials\, are required to warn shooters of infractions and have the authority to ban shooters from the range after three infractions. This could result in a flight DNF and inability to continue shooting later in the match. USPSA/SCSA supports Pioneer's right to enforce this policy. It is part of the qualifier series to be selected for the US Team for Mongolia in 2027. It will follow the 3-2-1 IPSC format for a total of 6 short courses\, 4 medium courses\, and 2 long courses.\nRegistration will be Friday afternoon from 12:00-6:00pm. If you will arrive outside that window\, please notify the match director. A zero range will be available.\nThere are 9 camper pads on site with water and power hook ups (30 and 50 amp service). DESCRIPTION:KFGC Action Pistol Practice is an opportunity for shooters to practice their shooting skills\, test new equipment\, and have a good time. It is an excellent opportunity for shooters new to action shooting to give it a try before entering a match. This event intends to provide practice time for experienced competitive shooters by providing a variety of drills that build skills and speed. It also offers first-time competitors a stress-free\, friendly environment where they can learn about competitive shooting through practical application. New shooters will be “coached\,” by more experienced competition shooters.\nCompetitors must bring safety eyewear\, hearing protection\, a suitable firearm\, a sturdy belt\, a belt-mounted holster they feel comfortable drawing from\, enough magazines to carry 30 rounds\, and 100 rounds of ammunition. It's recommended that competitors bring magazine pouches but you're also welcome to put spare magazines in your pockets if you don't have magazine pouches. All Competitors are expected to demonstrate safe weapons handling at all times. Competitor check-in will begin at 4:30 pm at KFGC pit 4. A safety briefing will be at 4:50 pm and shooting starts at 5:00 pm.\nAll firearms shall be unloaded and cased upon entering KFGC. Once inside pit 4\, check in with Nola or Rich\, and if you are new to the practice\, the Range Officers will walk you through the process of gearing up with your firearm. This event will be a "COLD RANGE". Do NOT gear up in any location other than on the range under the supervision of the staff.

DESCRIPTION:Match Details:\nThe match consists of 5 stages. This is a Hit Factor style match that will be held in accordance with most USPSA rules. The total round count for the match will be 160 rounds\, so be sure to bring plenty of extra ammunition.\nThe event will take place over two days\, with shooters selecting either Monday or Tuesday to compete\, based on available squadding.\nStart time: 6:00 PM on both days.\nSERIES INFORMATION:\nWe will be hosting a seven match series.  If you pay for all 7 matches in advance\, 1 match will be free\, the total will be $240. If you want to pay for all 7 in advance you can call us at (850) 932-5500. Shooters must compete in at least 5 matches to be in the running for prizes. If a shooter competes in more than 5 matches only your best 5 will count towards your final score.
