SUMMARY:RRPC Reactive Steel - July 2026
DESCRIPTION:This is our monthly steel match at RRPC\, open to the general public.\nThe match fee is $10\, payable in cash or check (made out to "Cash") on the day of the match.  Exact change is greatly appreciated.  Match staff shoots for free.\nThe match comprises three stages and features approximately 90 reactive steel targets.\nThe match is held on the lower ranges.  Shooters check in at the Pistol Range Firing Line starting at 9:00 AM.  Shooters briefing is at 9:30 AM\, and shooting starts immediately after the briefing ends.\nEar and eye protection is mandatory for all\, including spectators.\nThis match is run as a Cold Range\, meaning no one has a loaded gun until they are at a shooting position and commanded to load by their safety officer.\nIDPA/USPSA safety rules and commands govern this match.\nCompetition divisions for this event are:\nCFPI - Center-Fire Pistols with iron(open) sights\nCFPO - Center-Fire Pistols with optics\nPCC - Center-Fire Pistol Caliber Carbines or braced pistols\nAmmo must be common pistol cartridges\, no magnums please. No steel core ammo allowed.  Bring plenty of ammo!\nScoring is elapsed time plus 5 seconds for any target not knocked over or down.  Lowest score wins.\nNormal starting position is with a holstered pistol or PCC at the low ready\, with all safeties engaged.  Pistol shooters without a holster or uncomfortable drawing from a holster may start from the low ready position but receive a 3 second penalty.\nPistol shooters without holsters and PCC shooters must keep their firearms cased until it is their turn to shoot.

Wednesday and Thursday slots are for staff & sponsor shooters only.\nMatch Fee:\nAdult: $90 for First Gun\, $60 for each gun after the first\, up to as many as you can shoot.\nJunior: $60 for the First Gun\, $40 for each gun after the first\, up to as many as you can shoot.\nPlease be sure to select "Junior" in the category listing\, otherwise you will be charged the full fee. This applies to all shooting on the range including during sanctioned matches. Members\, including those who are match officials\, are required to warn shooters of infractions and have the authority to ban shooters from the range after three infractions. This could result in a flight DNF and inability to continue shooting later in the match. USPSA/SCSA supports Pioneer's right to enforce this policy. Firearms may only be handled in a designated “SAFE\nAREA”. No ammunition is allowed in the safe area. All rifles shall be checked and\nmade clear and safe with an ECI installed into the chamber of the firearm. Only then\nmay the firearm be slung and hung or placed in a case on your cart prior to departing\nthe safe area to your bay. At the end of the day\, at your final stage\, the RSO may clear\nyour firearm on the line in order to safely case your rifle prior to departure from the\ncomplex.
