SUMMARY:RRPC Reactive Steel - July 2026
DESCRIPTION:This is our monthly steel match at RRPC\, open to the general public.\nThe match fee is $10\, payable in cash or check (made out to "Cash") on the day of the match.  Exact change is greatly appreciated.  Match staff shoots for free.\nThe match comprises three stages and features approximately 90 reactive steel targets.\nThe match is held on the lower ranges.  Shooters check in at the Pistol Range Firing Line starting at 8:00 AM.  Shooters briefing is at 8:30 AM\, and shooting starts immediately after the briefing ends.\nEar and eye protection is mandatory for all\, including spectators.\nThis match is run as a Cold Range\, meaning no one has a loaded gun until they are at a shooting position and commanded to load by their safety officer.\nIDPA/USPSA safety rules and commands govern this match.\nCompetition divisions for this event are:\nCFPI - Center-Fire Pistols with iron(open) sights\nCFPO - Center-Fire Pistols with optics\nPCC - Center-Fire Pistol Caliber Carbines or braced pistols\nAmmo must be common pistol cartridges\, no magnums please. No steel core ammo allowed.  Bring plenty of ammo!\nScoring is elapsed time plus 5 seconds for any target not knocked over or down.  Lowest score wins.\nNormal starting position is with a holstered pistol or PCC at the low ready\, with all safeties engaged.  Pistol shooters without a holster or uncomfortable drawing from a holster may start from the low ready position but receive a 3 second penalty.\nPistol shooters without holsters and PCC shooters must keep their firearms cased until it is their turn to shoot.

DESCRIPTION:BRRC is happy to announce the July 2026 Precision Rifle Match.\nOur Precision Rifle matches will consist 6-7 stages with targets up to 1016 yards. The round count will be around 75. Stages will simulate field conditions and appropriate for all skill levels.\nEquipment:  Rifle equipped with an optic that will allow you to locate and engage targets\, and other shooting gear you like to use. Rangefinders\, spotting scopes\, binoculars\, shooting rests are all acceptable.\nAmmunition limitation:  30 caliber maximum.  Maximum muzzle velocity of 3500 FPS. No steel core ammunition will be allowed.\nFees have now changed to $30 for Club Members and $40.00 for non-members. The method this year has been refined to help “spread the wealth” and offer more random payments Here are the highlights:\nDivisions of 1-4 competitors do not qualify for a payout.\nDivision of 5-9 competitors qualify for a first place payout of $40.00 only.\nDivisions of 10-15 competitors qualify for first\, second\, and third place payouts.\nDivisions of 16+ competitors qualify for first\, second\, third\, and two modified Lewis system payouts.\nAll first place minimums are $40.00.\nAll second place minimums are $35.00.\nAll third place minimums are $25.00.\nModified Lewis system pays-out are fixed at $20 at the top of the middle third of competitors and the top of the lower third of competitors.\nPrize money as a pool of each division is relative in size to the division size for first\, second\, and third place payouts.\nRounding factors apply up or down based on the nearest ten except where minimums have been specified.\nPerformance awards will be given based on placement.\nPioneer Sportsmen has a policy that shooters on their bays must keep their muzzles below the berms at all times while shooting including when reloading (revolvers excluded when reloading). DESCRIPTION:The 2026 Wisconsin Speed Freak Rimfire Match will be shot in two flights\, one Friday and one Saturday\, Competitors will shoot 10 stages in one day.  This match will test competitors with stages that have anywhere from 3 to 8 targets.  In some cases your worst strings will not be dropped like in other events.  Stages will be three 3-5 strings.  The true intention of this type of match is to make it easy enough for new and existing gun owners who don’t have or cannot afford a large inventory of magazines for their guns; or don’t have both a pistol and rifle in 22LR\, involved in the shooting sports.  Making events such as this centered around family\, fun\, and education is our goal here at Colfax Sportsmen’s Club.\nThere will be four (6) available Divisions: Optics Pistol\, Optics Rifle\, Optics Revolver\, Irons Pistol\, Irons Rifle\, and Irons Revolver.\nCompetitors can shoot either a 22LR Pistol and or a 22LR Rifle\, whichever they have for a respective division. Long guns must have an EMPTY CHAMBER INDICATOR (Chamber Flag) IN PLACE at all times starting from the moment the rifle is uncased for placement in a gun cart or brought to the shooting position.\nPistols may be unbagged and holstered ONLY at designated Safety Areas or unbagged under the direction of a RO/SO at the shooting position.\nSafety Areas are clearly marked with signs.  If the table doesn't have a sign marked "Safety Area" then it isn't one and Gun Handling is not allowed there but ammunition handling is.\nNO AMMUNITION HANDLING in safety areas. Use of suppressors is not prohibited but the match director can not assure accurate times.\nAll pistol calibers permitted. As per SCSA rules the maximum velocity for any Handgun or Pistol Caliber Carbine shooting steel is 1600fps.
