SUMMARY:RRPC Reactive Steel - July 2026
DESCRIPTION:This is our monthly steel match at RRPC\, open to the general public.\nThe match fee is $10\, payable in cash or check (made out to "Cash") on the day of the match.  Exact change is greatly appreciated.  Match staff shoots for free.\nThe match comprises three stages and features approximately 90 reactive steel targets.\nThe match is held on the lower ranges.  Shooters check in at the Pistol Range Firing Line starting at 9:00 AM.  Shooters briefing is at 9:30 AM\, and shooting starts immediately after the briefing ends.\nEar and eye protection is mandatory for all\, including spectators.\nThis match is run as a Cold Range\, meaning no one has a loaded gun until they are at a shooting position and commanded to load by their safety officer.\nIDPA/USPSA safety rules and commands govern this match.\nCompetition divisions for this event are:\nCFPI - Center-Fire Pistols with iron(open) sights\nCFPO - Center-Fire Pistols with optics\nPCC - Center-Fire Pistol Caliber Carbines or braced pistols\nAmmo must be common pistol cartridges\, no magnums please. No steel core ammo allowed.  Bring plenty of ammo!\nScoring is elapsed time plus 5 seconds for any target not knocked over or down.  Lowest score wins.\nNormal starting position is with a holstered pistol or PCC at the low ready\, with all safeties engaged.  Pistol shooters without a holster or uncomfortable drawing from a holster may start from the low ready position but receive a 3 second penalty.\nPistol shooters without holsters and PCC shooters must keep their firearms cased until it is their turn to shoot.

DESCRIPTION:2026 SUMMER TEAM RUN N GUN at the BURIAL MOUND. Back yet again by popular demand!\n*PLEASE READ!!!!*\nOnly 1 registration per Team\, this year your teammate does not have to register\, your single registration is for both of your run slots. If your teammate has to cancel\, just bring someone else (t-shirt size not guaranteed\, as we base this off the initial registration). Once you register\, you are responsible for communicating any rules\, run\, or stage info provided by The Burial Mound to your teammate\, you will be the only one on the “team” receiving an email from The Burial Mound.\nRO Teams run Friday the 24th\, Paid Teams run Saturday the 25th.\nTeam members must start and finish the course together.\nEach team member will carry their own centerfire rifle and centerfire pistol as well as all gear and ammunition they might need on the course with them\, teams cannot share rifles or pistols due to safety concerns and COF\, this is a team event\, so both team members should expect to be shooting at the same time on most stages.\nIf a stage requires forward/advancing movement\, the team has to move together\, individuals will not be allowed to proceed to next shooting position if their teammate has not accomplished their portion of shooting task.  \nWe don't like to gear shame\, but please make sure your equipment is operational and safe. Please no Crossdraw or Chest Rig holsters as stages may require you to draw and fire. MD's and RO's will DQ you if your equipment is deemed unsafe. If you are new to shooting sports are are unsure about your equipment\, please ask!\nAny runner under 18yrs of age must be accompanied by an adult (no runners under 14yrs old). All runners must be knowledgeable on firearm safety and use of their equipment.\nBurial Mound Run n Gun is a biathlon through the fields and woods of Pawnee County Oklahoma. Expect anywhere from 5-8 shooting stages. There could also be physical obstacles like cargo net climbs\, walls\, as well as the natural obstacles the terrain provides.\nRound count TBD  **No Green tip/Armor-piercing ammunition**\nPistol distances will be anywhere from 7-50yds\nRifle distances will be anywhere from 40-500yds\nThis will be a chance to test yourself and your gear in a stressful environment and have fun at the same time. It is closed from August through May.\nWolf Lodge Campground- http://www.wolflodgecampground.com/\nHotels:\nNumerous chains and local options available from Coeur d'Alene to Post Falls\, Idaho\nDirections:\nFrom Spokane\, Post Falls\, and Coeur d'Alene - Take I-90 to Exit 15/Fernan (Not to be confused with the 15th Street Exit!) Take Exit 15 down to the light. Turn left at the light and go under the overpass. In about a block\, you will see the USFS Fernan Ranger Station on the right hand side (South). Stay to the left and take the Fernan Lake Road through the Fernan Lake Village and around the lake. This is a scenic ride around the lake and through the country past farms and fields\, for approximately 6 miles. You will see the USFS trail head and a large paved parking lot on the left (North) side of the road. The entrance to FRGC is directly across the road from the USFS trail head. Drive down the entrance road approximately 100 yards and you will see the large FRGC gate which will be open\, so just drive through and follow the road to the large parking area on the right. \nFrom all points East - Take I-90 to Exit 15/Fernan (Not to be confused with the 15th Street Exit!). Take Exit 15 down to the light. Turn right at the light and the USFS Fernan Ranger Station will be on the right hand. Follow the directions above to the FRGC range.\nSee map on range website.  Google maps (as of November 2022) shows the range address in the woods east of the entrance road and gate.
