DESCRIPTION:In celebration of our country's 250th Birthday we will ring it in with a massive falling steel stage the morning of July 4th. It will be epic!\nLocation:\n20500 Forest Woods Lane\nMontgomery\, TX 77356\nThe schedule is as follows.\n0900 22 and 9mm show up\n1100 shotgun show up\nOr show up when your free.\nEnd time is 1200.\n$15 per division or team run. Sign up in multiple divisions!\nHad to increase the cost a little for the amount of paint this is taking;)\nOne giant red\, white and blue stage. 115 plus targets with all my Texas Stars. All steel must be shot from appropriate color box to score. Shotgun and Shotgun teams will shoot last and color does not apply. Bring a few Slugs for shotgun.\nRESETTING IS REQUIRED  \nNOT PLANNING ON LOANER GUNS.\nThree colored shooting boxes. Must shoot targets from appropriate  color box. All shooting boxes will be behind a 6 foot table. You may stage guns and mags on the table. There will be dump buckets for pistols and rifles. Bring however many guns and mags you will need for 115+ targets. After we finish building the stage the target number may increase. All pistol calibers 22LR and shotgun are welcome. If you do not have enough mags and guns\, bring a friend! We will have a team division. Shotgun and Shotgun team will shoot after all other division as they will clear the paint off the steel and will not be held to color as targets will overlap. SUMMARY:RRPC Reactive Steel - July 2026
DESCRIPTION:This is our monthly steel match at RRPC\, open to the general public.\nThe match fee is $10\, payable in cash or check (made out to "Cash") on the day of the match.  Exact change is greatly appreciated.  Match staff shoots for free.\nThe match comprises three stages and features approximately 90 reactive steel targets.\nThe match is held on the lower ranges.  Shooters check in at the Pistol Range Firing Line starting at 8:00 AM.  Shooters briefing is at 8:30 AM\, and shooting starts immediately after the briefing ends.\nEar and eye protection is mandatory for all\, including spectators.\nThis match is run as a Cold Range\, meaning no one has a loaded gun until they are at a shooting position and commanded to load by their safety officer.\nIDPA/USPSA safety rules and commands govern this match.\nCompetition divisions for this event are:\nCFPI - Center-Fire Pistols with iron(open) sights\nCFPO - Center-Fire Pistols with optics\nPCC - Center-Fire Pistol Caliber Carbines or braced pistols\nAmmo must be common pistol cartridges\, no magnums please. No steel core ammo allowed.  Bring plenty of ammo!\nScoring is elapsed time plus 5 seconds for any target not knocked over or down.  Lowest score wins.\nNormal starting position is with a holstered pistol or PCC at the low ready\, with all safeties engaged.  Pistol shooters without a holster or uncomfortable drawing from a holster may start from the low ready position but receive a 3 second penalty.\nPistol shooters without holsters and PCC shooters must keep their firearms cased until it is their turn to shoot.

We are extremely excited to host our 2026 Series Rivals and Teams event here\, as it is going to provide competitors with a great shooting experience.\nTactical Biathlon is a 2-gun biathlon. Competitors carry a rifle and pistol over a predetermined course of fire ranging in distance.\nEach competitor is assigned a unique start time to enter the course. Re-supplying once on the course is not permitted.\nCompetitors will encounter several stages to shoot at throughout the course. These stages may be rifle only\, pistol only\, or a combination of the two.\nCompetitors have 3 minutes to complete a stage. If the competitor fails to complete a stage within the time allotted\, they will receive a Did Not Finish (DNF).\nEach stage has a unique layout including varying numbers of targets and distances to the targets. Competitors must be able to adapt to the stage\, target size\, and distance on their own in order to complete the stages.\nGenerally\, pistol targets will range from 15-75 yards\, while rifle targets will range from 50-700 yards.\nCompetitors will be put in unique situations and positions that will require engaging targets they might not be accustomed to. Additionally\, some stages might require movement\, or transitions from one position/weapon to another. Safety is paramount. Competitors and ROs will ensure that shooters are moving with the safety on\, finger off the trigger\, and muzzle down range. Failure to do so will result in disqualification. A DQ will be removal from the course\, and you will be done for the day.\nWhile running on the course\, rifles will not be loaded or have a mag inserted. Pistols are allowed to be in condition 1 (magazine inserted and a round in the chamber) while holstered. Competitors will be checked at the start/finish along with the entry/exit of every stage. Failure to follow this (or competition specific rules/regulations) will result in immediate disqualification.\nOur competitions will weight your score 50% for shooting and 50% for run time\, unless otherwise specified on the event page.\nThe Series event will be a 6-10 mile course in the typical Tactical Biathlon style.\nThe Rivals and Teams event will utilize the Series course with modified stages and a lessened distance. SUMMARY:Blue Ridge BRSC Falling Steel July 17-18
DESCRIPTION:The match consists of 5 stages with each stage having 21-30 steel targets that must fall to be counted.\nHandguns are limited to 10 rounds in the magazine unless in the Open Unlimited division while PCC’s have unlimited magazine capacity. There are no par times or ammo limits. Shoot until you knock all targets down or you run out of ammo. Pistol calibers only! This is a centerfire match; rimfires will not reliably knock the steel down. All targets are 8” diameter or larger total square inches and placed 10-20 yards from the shooter’s table. Start position is with safety engaged and muzzle touching the table. No holster draws to start. Reloads can come off the table or off the belt. Guns need to be bagged or holstered until the “Make ready” command is issued by the range safety officer. This is a cold range. Eye and ear protection is required for all competitors and spectators. Unsafe acts will not be tolerated.\nGun divisions include:\nSA-Stock auto: iron sights and no compensators\nOA-Open auto: Any sights\, optics and compensators are allowed\nOU-Open Unlimited: any sights\, optics\, comps allowed. NO mag capacity limits.\nUNC-Unclassified: different guns and divisions may be used on different stages\nISR-Stock revolver: Iron sights\, no capacity limits\nL6-Limited 6: Iron sight 6 round revolver\, moon clips or speed loaders allowed\nOSR-Open revolver: any sights\, optics\, compensator\, and capacity allowed\nPCC-Pistol Caliber Carbine with any sights\, optics and compensators\nSign in and pay at the pistol bays between 4 and 4:30 pm on Friday afternoon.\nSaturday morning sign in and pay at the pistol bays between 8 and 8:30 am.\nShooter’s safety briefing at 4:45 pm and 8:45 am.\nHammer down at 5 pm and 9 am\nThe match is usually finished by 8pm and noon. Help with breaking down the match is greatly appreciated after Saturday's relay.\nFriday afternoon matches have sign-in 4-4:30 pm and hammer down at 5 pm EXCEPT the November 15 NIGHT SHOOT when sign-in is 5-5:30 and hammer down at 6 pm (1 hour after sunset). Minimal light is provided for this event. All lights\, lasers\, night sights\, etc. are allowed for this once a year event.\nCost is $20 for the first gun and $10 for the second gun on a relay.
