DESCRIPTION:OVERVIEW\nThe primary goal of this competition is to provide a safe proving ground for tactical riflemen and their equipment. Lessons learned from the competition will provide information and knowledge from which we can advance our field proficiency and gain confidence in our abilities.The courses of fire and scoring methods are designed to demonstrate the importance of data development to attain accurate shot placement. Two man teams will work together to solve course problems. Each team will travel the course with one or more Range Officers that will record scores and enforce the match rules. Teams will equip themselves with a precision rifle\, pistols and a carbine (carbine = less than a 18” barrel).The team will select firearms correct for each course of fire. Great latitude is allowed for equipment selection\, although the same equipment must be used throughout the match. Shooters will encounter targets from 0-50 yards (pistol)\, 0-500 yards (carbine) and 0-1000 yards (precision rifle) on the courses\, (bonus targets may be farther). Most carbine shooting will be 0-300 yards\, most precision rifle shooting will be 0-600 yards and most pistol is close range. The WTRC match is well suited for one precision bolt rifle and one semi auto carbine. Caliber requirements for rifle are .300 Win Magnum or less in center fire configuration. Any field practical sights are allowed. Any field practical support devices and range estimating devices are permitted. Service pistols must be 9mm caliber or larger\, field durable\, and carried in a safe secure field practical holster or pack. Pistol magazines beyond +2 cartridge base pads are not allowed. MINIMUM RECOMMENDED CARTRIDGE ALLOTMENT PER TEAM Precision Rifle 400 rounds Carbine 500 rounds Pistol 400 rounds -No tracer\, armor piercing\, or steel core bullets are allowed. DESCRIPTION:The Total Operator Challenge is a competition consisting of 10 stages. It will test your fitness\, marksmanship and firearms competencies. Of the 10 total stages 8 will involve marksmanship challenges. 2 stages will assess fieldcraft skills. Of the 8 shooting stages 6 will involve fitness aspects designed to test your endurance\, strength\, and work capacity along side your shooting capabilities. Exact change is greatly appreciated.  Match staff shoots for free.\nThe match comprises three stages and features approximately 90 reactive steel targets.\nThe match is held on the lower ranges.  Shooters check in at the Pistol Range Firing Line starting at 9:00 AM.  Shooters briefing is at 9:30 AM\, and shooting starts immediately after the briefing ends.\nEar and eye protection is mandatory for all\, including spectators.\nThis match is run as a Cold Range\, meaning no one has a loaded gun until they are at a shooting position and commanded to load by their safety officer.\nIDPA/USPSA safety rules and commands govern this match.\nCompetition divisions for this event are:\nCFPI - Center-Fire Pistols with iron(open) sights\nCFPO - Center-Fire Pistols with optics\nPCC - Center-Fire Pistol Caliber Carbines or braced pistols\nAmmo must be common pistol cartridges\, no magnums please. No steel core ammo allowed.  Bring plenty of ammo!\nScoring is elapsed time plus 5 seconds for any target not knocked over or down. DESCRIPTION:You are registering for the JULY 2026 IDPA match at South Kent Sportsman's Club.\nPre-registration closes at 11:00 AM on Saturday of the match weekend.\n** Prior competitive action pistol shooting experience or "101 Class" is required **\nThe "101 Class" is held at SKSC on the 2nd Saturday of every month\, March thru October.  Please contact Andrew Thompson (skinny@darkfiber.org) for details and to reserve a spot in this class.\nMatch weekend schedule is as follows:\nSATURDAY (setup and staff shoot day)\nSetup begins at 9:00 AM\, all are welcome to come and help.\nThose that help setup are also able to shoot on Saturday.  We typically fire first shots by 12:00/1:00 and wrap up at 5:00.\nYou must help setup in order to shoot Saturday.\nSUNDAY (main match day)\nCheck-In opens in the clubhouse at 8:00 AM\, AND ENDS **PROMPTLY** AT 8:45 AM.\nAll competitors must check-in at the clubhouse before heading to the match bays.\nAfter check-in\, proceed to the competition shooting bays for a brief shooter meeting at 9:00 AM.\nSafety Officers\, after check-in please convene on Bay-3 at 8:30 AM for the SO meeting.\nMatch fee:\nSKSC members $20\nNon members $25\nPlease have exact change for payment.
