DESCRIPTION:Buckeye Shooting Center's Plate League\nThis is a dynamic league involving movement and manipulation of firearms.\nThis league runs with one stage each week for 8 weeks total. The event is open for shooting each week Thursday and Friday from 11:00am to 8:00pm (If you check-in at or before 8:00pm you will get to shoot that day).\nThe price is $20 PER STAGE\, or $120 for the entire 8 weeks. There are discounts for range members ($10/stage or $80/pass). All payments will be processed in store or through our website at https://buckeyeshootingcenter.com/practical-pistol/\nHolsters and mag carriers are required only for Carry Optics. In other divisions they are not required\, but STRONGLY recommended.\nEach week will include two runs for time. Penalties will incur an addition of time to that run. There will be between 10 and 15 plates each week. DESCRIPTION:IDPA is the use of practical equipment including full charge service ammunition to solve simulated “real world” self-defense scenarios using firearms that are suitable for self-defense use.  ** See note at bottom**\nOur matches usually consist of 4 stages - from very basic to quite difficult. Usually a mixture of scenario and standards.\nClub level matches officially start at 4 PM. You do not have to be present at the start of the match. You will shoot in the order that you check in once you’ve arrived at the range.\nDue to safety concerns on our indoor range\, no jacketed hollow-point\, steel core\, or Wolf brand ammunition allowed.\nMatch fees are due at signup\, $15 for non-members & $10 for NCRR members.  For members to receive the discount\, they must also be a NCRR member on Practiscore.  To become a NCRR member on Practiscore\, after applying for club membership on Practiscore\, you must confirm your NCRR membership by sending an email to idpa@ncrr.net (from the email account they use to log onto Practiscore) with your NCRR member number.  This must be done prior to registering for the match in order for me to add you for the Practiscore discount to take place.\nRefunds for withdrawals will be processed minus the credit card processing fee. DESCRIPTION:Sharpshooters Indoor Range Bulls-Eye Match (Cold Range\, make sure all firearms are completely empty before coming into the store).\nNote: Due to SharpShooters range policy\, until further notice\, there will be no Centerfire Rifles greater than 223/556 allowed in any competitions at SharpShooters Indoor Range. The ammo for 223/556 must be 55 gr or less. PCC and 22LR rifles will be the only rifles\, carbines\, PDWs\, or SBRs allowed. Steel Core ammo has never been allowed\, and anyone caught shooting it in the SharpShooter Range will be banned for life.\nAll firearms will be shot offhand (unsupported). Slings (for rifles) and Shooting jackets are allowed.\nThe Bullseye match is a game of accuracy and mental clarity. All pistol shooters will shoot together at 5\, 10\, and 15 yards (Rifles 15\, 20 & and 25 yards). 10 rounds max per distance and 3 minutes max per distance. X-rings will be used to break tie scores. A free SharpShooters match/range pass will be awarded to each class winner. Divisions are 22 Rimfire Pistol\, 22 Rimfire Rifle\, Centerfire handgun\, and Restricted Centerfire rifle. There are no sighting system restrictions. Once shooters start to assemble in the bay\, no shooting or gun handling is allowed until instructed by the SO. Warm-up and gun handling can only be done in the adjacent bay. All scores will be posted on the Upstate Sport Shooting Group FB page.\nRemember that this is an unsupported shooting match. You cannot lean against any of the structures in the room.  We ask that you back away from the stall table 3"-6" while keeping the firearm within the stall walls. Minimum Equipment: Rifles must have a chamber flag installed when not in a rifle case. Pistol or Revolver\, Holster or pouch\, 3 mags (one mag is OK\, you'll have to reload between strings) loaded to 10\, eye and ear protection. You may shoot in up to 3 divisions\, but you must sign up separately for them. There will be a $5 fee for any or all additional divisions. SUMMARY:Heartland Steel Challenge League June 18th
DESCRIPTION:Steel Challenge is a speed shooting competition governed by the Steel Challenge Shooting Association (SCSA) that consists of eight standardized stages with steel targets in three sizes; small circular (10”)\, large circular (12”) and rectangular (18x24”) targets. Competitors are scored solely by the time it takes them to complete each stage\, and the match winner is the competitor with the lowest overall time.\nThere will be 3 stages with 5 steel targets on each. Shooters get five runs on each stage. Each competitor shoots each stage five times\, with their slowest run dropped. The counting times are totaled for their stage score\, and the 4 stage scores are added together to establish the competitor's match score.\nFor each run\, one hit per target is required\, with an unlimited number of rounds. The last target to be shot is known as the "stop plate"\, which stops the timer. Any primary targets that have not been hit after the stop plate has been struck\, will be scored with a 3-second penalty each. The maximum time permitted for a run is 30 seconds and a competitor will be stopped and asked to reload if they reach the 30 second limit.
