Where they can learn about competitive shooting through practical application. Shooters will be “coached\,” by the competition staff on rules\, walk throughs and general stage execution.\nCompetitors must bring a suitable firearm\, belt mounted holster they feel comfortable drawing from\, enough magazines to carry 30 rounds\, and 100 rounds of ammunition. It's recommended that competitors bring magazine pouches but you're also welcome to put spare magazines in your pockets if you don't have magazine pouches. No pocket\, ankle\, or small of the back\, fanny pack\, or off-body holsters.\nAll Competitors are expected to demonstrate safe weapons handling at all time. To include drawing from the holster\, safely loading/ unloading firearms\, shooting while moving etc. Failure to do so will result in removal from the match at the discretion of the staff.\nCompetitor check in will begin at 5:30pm at the SEC range counter\, safety brief location will be announced there and will start at 6:00pm.\nAll competitors and visitors entering the SEC ranges must complete an electronic waiver annually. Once in a while we will shoot an all-steel versus match or another "carnival format"/"theme" match. We start building the stages at 6:00PM (7AM for Saturday matches)\, then shoot until about 10:00PM (11AM for Saturday matches)\, followed by about 30 minute tear-down and cleanup.\nWe require all Illinois competitors to show a FOID. Additionally\, we require competitors be classifed USPSA members in good standing. If you have yet to classify in a division and have not shot with us before\, approval from the match director (uspsamiss@gmail.com) will be required prior to registration.\nNo walk-ins will be accepted!

Cost is $15 for 1 round or $25 for 2 rounds.\nPlease register for each round separately on practice score.\nShooters can choose to shoot different guns on each round or the same gun.\nNote: If the match shows to be full please continue to register and you will be put on the wait list. We will continue to open up spots as needed.\nPlan on bringing your gun\, a good quality strong side holster (if you shoot right handed needs to be a right side holster)\, two spare magazines\, and mag pouches to hold them in. Bring 150 rounds. You won't need that many but it's always good to have them just in case. Additionally\, bring good eye and ear protection. Over the ear muffs are recommended as we are shooting indoors. Closed toe shoes are required on the range.\nWe run a cold range on fun shoot night so remember when you come in keep all guns in boxes or otherwise holstered and unloaded until you are in the safe area or directed by the Range Official.\nSquads will be finalized prior to start.
